A mother finds her daughter and five other teens dead in the woods from an accidental drug overdose. OA tells Maggie he's taking time off from being a good Muslim during Ramadan. The teens were killed by a fentanyl derivative. An undercover agent gives Maggie and OA a tip where to find their prime suspect, Tony Hossa. But he's overdosed as well. Val Kaniri, the undercover agent, was inspired by OA's talk at his school to enter law enforcement. Val tries to get Fabian Shabini's thug Tony to bite on a deal but gets caught in a lie. Tony wrestles with Scola and is shot and killed by Tiffany. Maggie and OA find the ingredients to make drugs in Tony's van but no drugs. Running errands for Shabini, Val manages to plant a bug in his bar. The devout Val almost blows his cover by refusing to take a drink. OA urges Val to bend his faith to stay in character rather than risk his life. Shabini is holding a meeting in an imam's apartment above the bar. Val balks at planting a camera at the imam's place. So instead he lets in OA to plant it. Val stalls Luhan Hyka to give OA enough time. Shabini meets with members of the Latin Kings gang. The imam comes back early and OA has to intercept him. Shabini and the gang make a deal and set up a time to deliver the drugs. The team arrives at that warehouse but Shabini escapes. Scola shuts off the burners in the drug lab to avoid an explosion. OA and Shabini fight and OA falls, with Shabini pulling his gun to shoot him. But Val shoots Shabini first. Val says he's jealous of OA because he doesn't struggle with compromising his faith as Val does.
