On Fear the Walking Dead season 2 Episode 8, Nick continues his walk among the dead.

Through a series of flashbacks, it is revealed that Nick was in rehab with Gloria, the girl that Nick encounters in the church during the opening moments of Fear the Walking Dead Season 1 Episode 1.

After briefly being given shelter from a woman and her son, they go their separate ways. Nick then stops for the night in a seemingly vacant house, but is awoken by a woman who beats him and chases him out, leaving his backpack behind.

Back on the road again and without his supplies, Nick swipes a bottle of water and a radio from the dashboard. Unsurprisingly, there is no signal.

Three men pull up in a jeep and take out some of the infected, as well as killing a man who is still alive, trapped in his car. Nick's newly acquired radio emits feedback at the worst possible time and is chased by a hail of bullets into the desert.

After another flashback, Nick wakes up right before being attacked by two German Shepards. One of which takes a chunk out of Nick's calf.

Suffering from dehydration and borderline infection from his wound, Nick begins hallucinating that the infected are speaking to him.

After passing out from heat exhaustion, Nick wakes up from a rain storm.

He encounters a new character named Luciana, who after making sure his wound isn't a bite from an infected, says she knows someone who can help him.

Nick is taken to their community that has a doctor who treats his wounds. Aterwards, Nick explores the newfound location and finds that it is a fortified community.
