Recap

It's 2012, which means that it's time to elect a new President of Earth. Richard Nixon's head is running again, and Leela is not a fan of his policies, so she tries to find a new candidate to support. She discovers Chris Travers, a senator whose eloquent speech and well-expressed opinions make him unpopular, but with Leela's social media savvy and dumbing down of his campaign for the average person, he emerges as the Thundercrats party candidate.

In order to sabotage his opponent, Nixon hires Bender to dig up dirt on Senator Travers, only finding that his middle name is Zaxxar. Nixon decides to use this to start an "Earther" movement based solely on his alien-sounding last name. Leela tries to find his "Earth Certificate" to prove Travers was from Earth to put a rest to the controversy, but finds that he doesn't have one, because he came from the future, sent back in time to defeat Nixon and prevent a robot uprising.

His birth in 3012 is aired on television, fueling his victory over Nixon. However, his win winds up erasing him from existence, because it created a temporal paradox where he never had to go back in time, causing Nixon to wind up winning anyway.

I promise to cut taxes for the rich, and use the poor as a cheap source of teeth for aquarium gravel!
