In Harlem in 1926, Alberta is asked to perform on stage when a performer (Clara) doesn't appear. Alberta wows the crowd with her singing ability.

Back in the present, the ghosts listen to a True Crime podcast while Sam is working. She explains to Alberta and Isaac what a podcast is.

Pete comes up with the idea of someone starting a podcast about Alberta's murder. Jay loves the idea and thinks it will be a good way to drum up buzz/business for the bed-and-breakfast. They plan to pitch the idea to an outlet.

Hetty is upset about the broken washing machine. She pushes Sam to get a new one.

Alberta states there was a code when she was alive. They don't believe in snitches.

Sam pitches to her newspaper editor the idea of the podcast. He loves the idea, but he needs Sam to have a co-host that she can bounce ideas off during the podcast. He pitches Todd (Alberta's biggest fan) as her co-host.

Sam is hesitant to work with Todd since she knows he's weird. Her editor states that if she doesn't work with Todd, there won't be a podcast.

Hetty is upset that the washing machine is making too much noise. She's upset when Jay turns the broken washing machine back on.

Flower encourages Hetty to sit on the broken washing machine. Hetty starts enjoying herself while sitting on the machine.

Sam tells Jay, Pete, Alberta, and Trevor what happened during the pitch. Sam agreed to the podcast and invited Todd to Woodstone Manor.

Todd gives Jay and Sam a copy of his self-published book about Alberta. Also, he brought a bunch of files to help with the investigation and discussion.

Hetty is acting relaxed after her time with the broken washing machine. Flower explains to Hetty what effect the machine had on her.

Jay helped Todd unpack furniture and files from the car. Jay discovers a diary hidden in Alberta's table. Todd is excited to find the diary, but Alberta is worried because she doesn't want something in the diary to come out.

Hetty tries to resist the washing machine, but she goes back for another ride.

Isaac and Trevor have doubts about reading Alberta's diary, but Sasappis convinces them otherwise. They get upset when Todd doesn't read fast enough.

Pete can't hide his flirtation for Alberta. Alberta reveals the secret in her diary was that she got Clara arrested and stole her big break on stage. Alberta called the police to get Clara arrested, and in turn, Alberta took the spot on stage.

Sam tries to shift the blame onto Pete for the podcast idea. Alberta is upset that her past will ruin her future and what her fans will think.

Todd discovers the truth in the diary. He's unsure if he wants to be a fan since Alberta went against her biggest belief.

Hetty came clean to Flower that she went back for another ride on the washing machine. Hetty is feeling guilty and apologizes for her shame. Flower tells her that it's not wrong to feel female pleasure. Hetty is happy for the truth and where life is in the modern world.

Hetty reveals she ratted out Clara because she didn't want to be overlooked for being a big person.

A flashback from 1924 shows Alberta being rejected during an audition in favor of Clara. Alberta told the police about Clara bootlegging because it was her chance to get on stage and not sing backup anymore. Alberta didn't want to tell the truth because she's scared of being vulnerable; she tried to be her biggest fan.

Sam, Pete, and Sasappis love Alberta's vulnerability and relatability. Alberta is happy and agrees to the podcast.

Sam and Todd record their first podcast episode.

Sasappis and Isaac recognize Clara's photo in Todd's book. Clara was performing at Woodstone Manor the same night when Alberta was murdered. Clara has become their first step in the murder.

Jay has a new washing machine delivered to Woodstone Manor. Hetty is upset that the broken washing machine is going away; she says goodbye to the machine. Flower is ready to teach Hetty about what else she could use for the same experience.
