Sue's mission to get all the students at McKinley into shape proves challenging when Roderick can't climb the ropes in gym. Spencer tries to motivate him but instead insults his teammate. He believes in the tough love approach to motivational speaking and doesn't understand that being a jerk doesn't make people want to be better.

At the Bar Mitzvah for one Myron Muskovitz, Spencer realizes the error of his ways and encourages Roderick to save the day when a rope is stuck on a pulley and Myron is trapped inside a stage pod.

Madison and Mason suffer a little sibling growing pains when Mason wants to date Jane and Madison doesn't want to lose her brother. Eventually she realizes that she's being ridiculous but she still calls Jane a stage hog.

Will and Sue's feud heats up as she vows, once and for all, to rid McKinley High School of the New Directions. He tells Rachel it's nice teaching beside her. The glee club gains two new members.
