Recap

The episode kicks off with Miles and Cara asking Corey Smith if he's behind the God Account.

He tells them he isn't, but he is responsible for writing the code that the God Account is using.

He offers to work with them to find out who stole his code, but Miles isn't interested.

He's tired of hitting dead ends and getting his hopes up. And he's most upset that the God Account has no intention of helping Ali after everything he's done.

Ali is staying at Miles' place while she recieves her chemotherapy.

Her hair begins falling out, which is a shock to her.

Miles is also hurt seeing her life affected.

The trio grabs breakfast where they discuss Ali's treatment and Corey Smith.

Rakesh wants to work with him, so they meet him at Identity Seal.

He suggests that they need to break through the wall of the God Account to look at the code, but the only way is using a supercomputer at DARPA.

They have to access it remotely, which will be an issue, but Zach, Rakesh's intern, says he'll reconfigure his Raspberry Pi so that they can get in wirelessly.

Corey is impressed.

Meanwhile, Miles gets a Friend Suggestion for Russell Hill, the man who gave him back his wallet at the restaurant that morning.

They realize he has been arrested for stealing a car and has a trail that day.

They head over to the courthouse, where Russell fails to appear.

As they wait, Cara informs Miles that she's seeing Adam. He's shocked but tells her she deserves to be happy.

The judge tells Russell's lawyer that if he doesn't show up in court tomorrow, he'll have to serve 15 years.

They ask the lawyer where they can find him, but Bonnie, the bounty hunter informs them that she'll find him first.

They realize Russell is going to skip town after the waitress admits she bought him a ticket this morning.

When they find him at the subway station, Russell is holding his baby.

Bonnie is on their tail, so they make a run for it.

Russell explains the whole situation -- he was driving a stolen car that he didn't know was stolen.

His lawyer said the minimum sentence would be 3 years since they couldn't corroborate his story, and he was scared his daughter, Maya, would be put into the system the same way he was.

Miles suggests they get him a new lawyer, and they pay a visit to the Patel Brothers, who are more than happy to help.

They have an action plan, but Russell needs to make good and turn himself into the judge.

Russell agrees, but when they leave, Bonnie is there waiting for them.

She refuses to leave without her payday, and when Miles pleads to think about the child, she suggests granting temporary custody.

She believes the system is good for some children having been raised by foster parents herself.

The Patel brothers accompany Russell.

Miles hires Bonnie to find Emmett and they learn he's alrady in custody.

He promises to corroborate Russell's story, and the judge throws out the grand larceny charge, but he still wants Russell to serve for skipping his court date. The sentence is 6 months, which means Maya will have to go into the system.

Miles and Cara give her to DCFS.

Miles feels defeated and gets a house for sale suggestion from the God Account.

They visit the home and learn the woman used to foster children.

Just then, Bonnie walks through the door.

It turns out, Russell lived at this home for a bit before getting taken.

Bonnie and Russell reunite in an emotional moment and she vows to take good care of Maya while he's gone.

Ali tells Reverand Finer and Miles that she's strong and independent and doesn't want them to worry.

She also shaves her head and embraces it.

Miles realizes life is too short not to tell people the truth, so he tells Rakesh he's going to tell Cara he loves her.

Rakesh advises against it since Cara told him she could finally see her life without Miles and is happy.

Miles sees her on a date with Adam and decides against it.
