Recap

Miles is thrilled to have his podcast back on track for the second season after receiving a cryptic message from the God Account that read "follow the lady, follow your path."

In an attempt to find out what it means, Miles and Rakesh assist Joy in helping out her latest friend request, a self-help guru named Teddy Preston.

They purchase tickets to his seminar at $75 bucks a pop (hope the God Account is reimbursing them for that) and steal VIP badges to get their 5-minutes with him.

During the meet and greet portion, a 15-year-old boy named Jacob Abbott rushes in and tells Teddy that he's his son.

Teddy is stunned and tells the kid that he never knew a Karen Abbott.

The kid runs off in a hurry as Joy and Miles chase him down.

Jacob tells them that his mother, Karen, passed away a few weeks ago and before she died, she told him who his father was.

He promises never to contact Teddy again.

Joy and Miles attempt to convince Teddy to give his son a chance and realizes that not only did Teddy know about his son, but he was also paid off to never have anything to do with him.

When they visit Jacob's grandfather, he tells them that Teddy accepted $50 thousand to not be in the young boy's life.

Teddy warned Joy and Miles that the grandfather would do everything to keep him away from Jacob and he wasn't lying.

The seminar gets canceled due to lack of permits, which Teddy knows has to be the grandfather's doing.

They go to speak to the grandfather, but Teddy backs out and tells them that Jacob is better off without him.

Joy, who has given up a child for adoption, knows that the only way to bring Teddy and Jacob together is to tell Jacob the truth, which Miles says isn't her secret to tell.

After finding out the truth, Jacob crashes the seminar and tells everyone that his father is a fraud.

Teddy runs after Jacob and apologizes. He tells him that he was scared as a young boy, but that meeting his son today was the best thing that ever happened to him.

The two agree to give their relationship a shot.

Miles wins the raffle at the seminar and gets a free boat trip to the Statue of Liberty.

He's convinced the Statue of Liberty is the "lady" the God Account was referring too, but when they arrive at the location, there is nothing there.

That's when Cara, who has been a day-long journey around Paris trying to figure out the cryptic phrase as well, informs him that he's right about the "lady" being the Statue of Liberty he's just in the wrong city.

Cara, Simon, and Annie spent the episode following a map revealed by the God Account after Simon looked into Annie's Facebook hack which led Cara to her mother.

After checking off all three sites on the map, Cara is led to a bridge where she sees the Statue of Liberty.

She realizes that this whole mission has been about her relationship with Miles and tells him he has to come to Paris.
