The episode begins with Beth cleaning blood off her dining room rug and then flashbacks to 12 hours earlier. 

Annie and Gregg are continuing their affair, while Stan is still mad about Ruby's participation in the grocery store robberies. 

Beth's confrontation with Rio is played out and shows that she was unable to shoot Rio and he subsequently shot Dean in the chest. 

Later at the hospital, the ladies find out that Dean is going to survive. 

Leslie finds a pen cap with lipstick on it (Beth's) and brings it to Agent Turner. He goes to Beth and tells her that she will need to provide a DNA sample. 

Stan tells Ruby that she has to go to the police and try to make a deal. When she gets there she notices a diagnostics van and the ladies hatch a plan to steal the pen from the van after Beth gives her DNA sample. 

While Ruby holds up the van driver at a coffee shop, Annie and Beth attempt to get the pen from the van but they fail. Later, Stan steals the pen from the station and give it to Ruby. 

Gregg tells Annie that he is leaving Nancy. 

Agent Turner enlists Leslie's help in bringing the women down. He then goes to Mary Pat and propses to her so he won't have to testify against her. 

Rio confronts the women at the park and tells them that they have to get rid of Leslie now that he is working with the FEDS.
