On Grey's Anatomy Season 11 Episode 7, Bailey oversees Jo’s first solo surgery. Jo has trouble remember if she finished a final step or not and Bailey teaches her a valuable lesson about trusting herself. 

Meanwhile, Arizona has to make an executive decision in Dr. Herman’s absence. As Dr. Herman is missing in action as she is going through radiation therapy, Arizona must perform a surgery that she's never done before. Unfortunately, the mother does not survive. However, the baby does.

Also, the physicians jump into action when a couple arrives at the emergency room after escaping a fire. A daughter of the patients recognizes Amelia and reveals her dark past of being a drug addict and overdosing when her boyfriend fell asleep. Amelia's past haunts her as everyone soon learns of what happened to her.

She struggles and comes with terms as she reaches out to both Richard and Meredith. Derek does not protect his sister at first when talking to Owen, but he eventually admits to not sticking up for her because he wanted his job back.

Meredith spends time with both Amelia and Maggie. She also invites Maggie over to Ellis's home. 

Also, Arizona moves in with Alex.
