She fails by thinking that Tom has leprosy and it turns out he doesn't. Ruby makes Lavon think why he really wants to be mayor of Bluebell. Lemon tries to beat George to moving on first. George has a date with a beautiful blonde that is rudely interrupted by Brick. George and Brick bury the hatchet and move on from George breaking Lemon's heart. Lemon fights with Ruby over an attractive dentist, she wins but stops because she isn't ready. Lemon moves into a house and propositions Lavon to become his campaign manager.
