The episode opens directly after last season when Ted asked Stella to marry him.  Luckily for Ted, after the longest moment of his life, Stella says yes.  However, after Marshall (Jason Segel) asks Ted the most important question, "Does she like Star Wars?", Ted realizes he doesn't even know the woman he's about to marry! Upon asking Stella, he finds out she's never even seen the movie!!

Meanwhile, Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) has recovered nicely from his crippling bus accident from last season and is still madly in love with Robin (Cobie Smulders).  Barney confides in Lily (Alyson Hannigan) his love for their mutual friend and seeks her advice.  Though Barney doesn't want to be Robin's boyfriend, he does want to be there to smell her hair every day.  When Barney is unable to make a simple phone call to ask Robin out, Lily sets the two up on a date.

Back to Ted and Stella.  Ted decides to make it a movie night with Stella and casually decides to put in Star Wars.  However, Stella can't give her honest opinion about the movie with Ted constantly starring at her the whole movie looking for a reaction.  Stella banishes Ted and Marshall (who was hiding behind the couch) to Ted's bedroom while she finishes the movie. 

After completing the movie, Stella lies to to Ted and says she loves the movie.  However, she admits to Marshall that the movie was stupid.  I mean, how did they know what the bear was saying?  When Marshall asks her if she can pretend to like that movie the rest of her life, Stella says yes.  Might Stella be the mother?

Barney and Robin's date is going very nicely.  Barney is freakishly nice to Robin and even seems to care about what she has to say!  Robin is so touched she sets up Barney with their big busted bimbo waitress in ultimate wingwoman fashion. (Have you met my friend Barney?)

Lily tells Barney that he can't both love bimbos and Robin.  Barney corrects her.
