Jane finds out Michael wrote her a letter before they got married and goes on the hunt to find it. She thinks Michael must have hidden it under the floorboard of their old apartment, but when she goes there, it's gone. At her parents' wedding, Jane decides to tell Rafael she has feelings for him. However, she is intercepted when Petra's assistant hands her Michael's letter that has been dropped off by the previous tenant who's waiting outside. Jane reads the letter and comes face to face with her first love, Adam, who is the one who found the letter.

Despite Rafael insisting that he doesn't have feelings for Jane, Petra can sense there is something still there between them. Chuck urges Petra to be with him since she's his first choice. Petra and Rafael argue after he sees her kiss Chuck, and they break things off. 

Rogelio and Xo are rocked by the news that Darci is pregnant with his child. After temporarily postponing the wedding, Rogelio and Xo say "I Do" at the Marbella with Jane as the officiant. They will make their relationship work while figuring out the situation with Darci.

Luisa is released from prison for cooperating with keeping Rose in jail. Rose says she did not kill Scott, and the real Eileen must have done it. The Narrator confirms this via flashback. Rafael lets his anger out at Luisa for staying with Rose for so long. Luisa and Anezka (who has also been released from prison) meet outside the Marbella and get to talking about their respective siblings. Later on, Luisa shows Rafael the part of their father's will that leaves him out. She tells him the Marbella is hers now. Anezka steals Rafael's phone and lures Petra out to a secluded location and points a gun at her.
