Instead of fixing her relationship with Xiomara, Jane decides to get to know her father. Rogelio, admittedly nervous, attempts to impress Jane with his fame, but this only backfires. Later, at a quiet dinner with Jane and Michael, Rogelio fails to make up any ground with his daughter again, after bringing up her fight with Xiomara.

It's only after a quiet talk with Michael about how nothing is perfect and an extremely not-so-perfect apology gift from Rogelio, that Jane agrees to wipe the slate clean and start over with her father.

Things may not be so easy for Jane and Michael. Although Michael was extremely doting throughout the episode, Jane learns that he, like her mother, has not been completely honest with him. When she learns that he's known about Petra's affair for weeks, she is shocked and hurt and runs back to her mother.

Meanwhile, Rafael asks Petra for a divorce and she uses all the tools she has - sex appeal and knitted baby gear - to try and woo him back. When that doesn't work, Petra's mother takes matters into her own hands.
