Boyd thinks all is great in the world when his plan against Paxton works out and Ava is going to get out of prison.  That is until the prison guard stabs himself with a shank and frames Ava for it, keeping her in jail for the time being. Meanwhile, Boyd also makes a deal with Hot Rod Dunham to turn on his cousin Johnny.  Unfortunately, Johnny made a deal with Hot Rod's henchmen, so they turn the tables on the weed dealer.

Art investigates Mr. Picker and finds himself in the middle of a Detroit mob feud.  When Art and Raylan find Detroit mobster Elias, he attempts to kill them with a machine gun, but Raylan guns him down in the end.  Finally, Art finds Theo Tonin hiding in a crate, marking the defining moment of his career as a Marshal.
