At the R.A.C., D'avin applies to become a Killjoy with John as his sponsor.

"I'm not cut out to be a civilian and I'm done being a soldier. I'm not good at a lot of things, but I'm good at that. And I would be good for the R.A.C." D'avin explains. Keera Deen welcomes him to the family as a Level 4 Killjoy. However, he needs to complete a psych eval.

Naturally, Johnny was a bit bothered by the fact his brother outranks him. He shared his grief with Pree, and later with a sexer named N'oa.

Since he was in a chatty mood, N'oa decided to share her troubles with him as well. Her husband had gone missing on Leith and she asked John to take the warrant she had issued to bring him home. He agreed to help her.

Convincing Dutch took a little work, but ultimately she figured Johnny needed a win and went along with his plan. Of course, she was deciding their covers for the mission. A fact that never went well for John.

Meanwhile, D'avin met doctor Pawter and the two struck a deal. She would sign off on his psych eval if he got her a seat aboard Lucy to Leith.

On Leith, John applied as a migrant worker, while Dutch posed as a distributor and met with the Hokk farm owner.

A tracking chip was placed in John's ear. Any worker attempting to escape would trigger this little bomb, as we witness when a man makes a run for it.

In order to hack into the main system, John informed Dutch they needed an eye. She easily seduced Martell, then knocked him out and scanned his eye. The duo learned that Martell was involved in a Jakk operation led by N'oa's missing husband.

Luckily, John met Shyla who he figured was involved in the operation and she took him to Vincent (after he cut his ear off). Of course, when the man learned John was a Killjoy hired to take him back to Westerly, he ordered him executed. John quickly jumped into action and disarmed the criminals.

Martell, fearing for his operation, had informed the authorities about the Jakk and The Company sent ships to destroy the forest.

Though John, Dutch and Vincent made it off the planet, the others were not so lucky.

Ultimately, the Killjoys took a bit of a joyride causing Vincent's Visa to expire. He was arrested and sent to work in the mines, which was fine by N'oa.

Pawter signed off on D'avin's psych eval as promised and he agreed to undergo therapy with her. She would also re-attach John's ear.

Though John was conflicted about his brother being a Level 4 Killjoy, Dutch reassured him. "If you're worried about being replaced, don't be. You're irreplaceable to me" she told him.
