Nicky and Henry found out all they need to know about the dagger and are excited to learn that the dagger found in Bolivia is the dagger they're looking for.

In Bolivia, people are hard at work cataloging items. There's a man who seems interested in the knife, and once he's alone, he takes it, wraps it up, and puts it in a crate destined for San Francisco.

Ryan learns that the Community Center clinic's funding is limited and that the clinic could close.

Althea is approached by her old boss's lawyer, who wants to have her sign an NDA. She refuses, and he assures her that going public with her story would ruin her and her fiance's family.

Nicky and Henry meet with Henry's contact, Randall, who reveals that he plans on dealing with the dagger himself -- not giving it to Nicky.

Nicky is outraged by this reveal.

Althea and Dennis have a romantic dinner at home, and Althea again attempts to tell him about her trauma. She ends up not telling him.

Nicky visits Evan in hopes of getting his help with the dagger. Instead of getting his help directly, she learns about a gala that the Reed museum is having -- the perfect time to steal the dagger.

Nicky quickly leaves Evan's office and tells Henry that she wants to steal the dagger herself.

Henry thinks she's crazy and dodges committing to the heist.

Nicky takes matters into her own hands anyway and scopes out the museum, later reporting to Henry all of the details she found.

Henry thinks that the plan is an insane idea and wants Nicky to take a step back, but she refuses.

A vision of Pei-Ling visits Nicky, and the mentor tries to calm her down and have her look at her influences.

Ryan, Althea, and Henry all join Nicky on her heist plan, Henry admitting that he didn't back out; he just needed time to get help.

The gala's begun, and they go over their plans, which get derailed when surprise guests make themselves known.

Mei-Li and Jin are at the gala, much to the surprise of all the Shen children. They're now concerned that their plan may not work due to the parents distracting them.

Evan, of course, is also at the gala, and Nicky dodges his questions when asked why she's there.

Nicky accidentally, on purpose, spills Henry's wine onto his white shirt, prompting the Shen kids to escape their parents' attention.

Now, the heist can begin. Henry heads to the server room to upload something that lets Althea control the doors and cameras in the whole building from her cell phone.

Before Nicky can continue, Evan approaches Nicky claiming to know that something is up. Nicky lies to him and says she's just there for the party.

Mei-Li and Jin discuss Henry and how they both want to know if Nicky is dating him or not.

The mayor arrives at the gala, and his security detail is extensive, prompting Ryan to make a fake-drunk scene to distract the security.

Nicky and Henry make it past the guards and into the employees-only area of the museum.

They head to the loading dock and find the crate from Bolivia. Nicky grabs the dagger, but then three men with guns appear.

They don't seem like security, and Henry convinces them to lower their weapons due to the noise the gunshots would make. Once their weapons are dropped, Nicky and Henry can take out the men with ease.

Althea learns that Dennis's parents donate to a lot more places than initially believed, which leads her to consider singing the NDA even more.

Nicky and Henry return to the party, and Althea calls the lawyer.

Althea insists that they make the money half a million and that the money goes straight to the community center Ryan works at.

Nicky tells her siblings that Henry ran to get the car and should be ready to leave.

Jin beacons Nicky to come to speak to someone, and that someone is none other than Zhilan.

A tense conversation ensues in which both women pretend not to know each other. Zhilan manages to lift the dagger from Nicky's pocket after threatening Nicky's family.

Nicky is infuriated, and Henry tries to calm her down, but she won't listen.

She has Henry take her family home and confronts Zhilan outside the museum.

They fight, and Zhilan reveals new info about Pei-Ling that Nicky didn't know. Zhilan is trying to paint Pei-Ling as a bad person, and Nicky gets angrier.

The fight ends in Zhilan seeing the symbols on Nicky's hand, then sparing her life.

Nicky lies on the pavement outside the museum, unconscious and bleeding.
