Recap

Benson and Stabler discuss the case. Benson notes that Stabler is wearing his wedding ring again. Stabler says he saw Kathy in the interrogation room. He says he is not losing his mind. Benson encourages him to deal with his trauma. He changes the subject to the case and they decide to talk to Suarez again.

Suarez is angry that the cops are tossing his cell. And what are they gonna do anyway when he a lifer? After exchanging snarky comments, the cops find a hidden cell phone that Suarez claims isn't his.

Oscar Papas is fighting with a one-eyed gang member in the prison library but stops and is happy to see Benson. Benson has a bunch of flashbacks related to confronting Papas. Stabler confronts him about how he had to get Noah because of him. He starts beating Papas up. Benson makes him stop. Papas says he's glad Benson has someone who cares for her. Benson tells Stabler to protect the case, not her. Stabler decides to ask Bell to meet with the rape victim.

Maria comes to see Bell. Bell and Jet explain that they b elieve this was a rape for hire and show Maria mug shots. She IDs Suarez. She is shocked to hear Suarez was let out of prison to rape her. Bell asks her if there was anyone who would have done this. Maria says there were no men in her life just like she told SVU. They ask about Derek.

The OC team talks. Suarez made bitcoin transfers. Also someone used an external hard drive to bypass proxy servers at the prison. Stabler wants to look at Derek's computer to see if he contacted Suarez. Bell says they need a warrant.

The cops come to the Scullys with the warrant. Derek says he had nothing to do with the rape. The cops say they have no other suspects.Mrs. Scully confesses to stop them from taking Derek's things.

In interrogation, Mrs. Scully says she is NOT a rapist.  She wants a deal. Stabler and Bell say tell us what you know and we'll see what it's worth. Mrs. Scully wanted revenge and a woman  heard her crying in the bathroom and told her about a site on t the dark web where you need an invite and an incognito browser.

Jet suggests they not book Mrs. Scully so the site creator doesn't realize she was arrested and might talk.

They get into the site and find that the murder Stabler is investigating was crowdfunded by 9 anonymous users.

Stabler has a bunch of neighbors arrested and the guy he thinks is guilty is yelling that the arresting officers are the Gestapo and that he pays their salary.

The man says it started with the HOA election. Rachel was a bitch and she only won because no one wanted to vote for a lesbian. They show him Shadowerk. He says he thought it was a joke. He's shocked to hear it was real and Rachel had a daughter.

Jet is tracking the revenge-for-hire jobs. They see someone in Japan was just killed. Someone took a job nearby -- a guy in the Bronx is supposed to be killed within 24 hours. There is no way to shut down the site and the creator is anonymous.  But Jet realizes the selfies had to be emailed somewhere.

Stabler and Whalen talk with the prospective victim who whines about the sugar in the coffee. He doesn't get why the cops would care about a guy like him. He thinks Shadowerk is stupid and he used to do hits the old-fashioned way. He wants to be paid for his info. Stabler tries to walk away and Gary says relax he'll help them out.

Reyes pretends to be a schizophrenic homeless man in Longo's building while Whalen stakes out the place. Bell doesn't appreciate hearing Reyes chew over the audio.

The killer hits the buzzer and Gary is annoyed that he's only being paid 2G to pay him. The killer looks nervous when Whalen follows him into an elevator.

Reyes shows up with his sandwich and a gun just as the killer knocks on Gary's door  and has a gun of his own. The killer is arrested.

Gary tries to beat up the arrestee, and Stabler makes him stop (as if he wouldn't do the same thing.)

Josh claims he wasn't going to kill Gary, just rob him so he could get the money for an engagement ring. The cops make him tell them where he was supposed to send the selfie.  Josh's mother arrives as he writes down the email address.

Bell tells the mother that Josh is being charged with attempted murder. Bell says the gun is registered to the mother. The mother can't believe this. Josh can't even remember to put his clothes in the hamper, how can he have done this?

Gary is scared and wants to go to Witness Protection. Whalen says he is not in danger anymore. However, they agree to take him to the airport to visit his sister in Florida.

Stabler says Benson told him that four rapists have been arrested.

Jet has found that the creator of the site is in Ohio -- but is he physically there? Meanwhile the fake hit has worked and Josh has gotten paid.

Rollins is teaching a class about the man who invented the modern-day assassin. The man was a Muslim who drugged young men and made them think they went to Paradise, then drugged them again and brought them back to reality. Stabler participates in the class.

Stabler congratulates Rollins on her pregnancy -- does Benson know? Rollins hasn't called her yet. But how can she help Stabler? Rollins is intrigued when Stabler explains about Shadowerk. Rollins has given a lecture on the Japanese practice the creator has named himself after. Rollins says the killers are people who feel powerless and get to feel in control. Stabler notes she is more excited about this case than in her lecture. Rolilns isn't happy in the job but Carisi got it for her and Benson isn't happy she left SVU.

McClery calls and interrupts. His friend, a federal judge, has been targeted on the site. The judge is soon found dead. Benson comes to the scene and says the creator is waiting for someone to rise to his challenge. Stabler is moving slowly so the perp doesn't escape. Stabler is about to ask if Rollins can join the case when she shows up. Benson is happy to see Rollins but it's awkward. Stabler says Rollins worked up a psych profile. Rollins gives them the profile while we see footage of the potential perp . He has weaponized anonymity and will do anything to keep it...

Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 3 Episode 21 Quotes

Benson: You know, El, if there's one thing I've learned over t he years, it's that if we don't deal with our trauma, the world will.
Stabler: I'm not a victim.
Benson: No, but you are a survivor, and sometimes that's just as hard.

Stabler: Something about this smells, doesn't it?
Benson: Yeah, kind of like a cop who hasn't showered in a few days.
