Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 1 Episode 2 moves forward with the investigation into Richard Wheatley's activity.

Bell and Stabler go to investigate the "anonymous" tip about Sinatra's death. While they are looking at the scene, two gunmen stop a truck full of COVID vaccine and shoot the drivers before stealing the vaccine.

Wheatley pretends to be upset when Angie notifies him about his father's death but in the meantime continues with his plans to have a party to vaccinate his friends with the stolen vaccine.

The cops add two more members to their team while investigating these developments. Stabler is interested in meeting Richard. He confronts him outside Richard's office building and accuses him point blank of stealing the vaccine and killing Sinatra. Richard dares him to prove it.

The cops discover that Richard owns a dessert company that offers frozen treats and realizes he is using their trucks to move the stolen vaccine but raid a truck too late to recover any of it. Plan B: Stabler is to go on a date with a rich woman from a dating site and find out who her doctor is.

Meanwhile, Richard makes plans to take over the mob now that his father is dead, but his son's allegiance to Sinatra may cause problems for him.

Angie: [on phone] The police just left your house. Your father was murdered.
Richard: Oh no. Thanks for telling me. [hangs up]
Richard's wife: What did she want?
Richard: I'll tell you about it on the way home. [to group] As I was saying, I have a shipment coming. Come over Wednesday night. We're having a vaccination party for family and close friends.

Stabler: One shell was recovered?
Cop: It's close. Only takes one.
[Stabler checks out the shell on the ground.]
Stabler: Hand-loaded casing. Usually guys who pack their own ammo are either specially trained military or fanatic gun nuts.
Bell: Or both.
