Stabler's PTSD leads to a serious situation on Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 1 Episode 4.

When his inability to sleep leads to him looking at crime scene photos from the explosion again, Stabler realizes that a young couple was taking selfies down the block from where Kathy was killed. But the detective in charge is not impressed with this info and doesn't want Stabler near the case, leading him to punch a wall in front of Eli.

Later, Stabler tries to look at photos on Instagram while driving and causes an accident, so Kathleen approaches Benson and asks her to help with an intervention. The family, and Benson, tell Stabler they're worried about him. He says he loves them but their attempts to help make it worse and goes to talk to Angie instead.

Meanwhile, Carisi, Stabler, and Bell come up with a plan to get Izak to cooperate with them despite his high-priced mob lawyer's refusal to make a deal, and Stabler comforts a woman who has lost her 14-year-old son to an overdose that Stabler thinks can be tied to Wheatley.
