Law & Order: SVU Season 18 Episode 9 revolves around the rape of a young bartender named Sara.

Sara is bartending at the birthday party for a powerful CEO, Lawrence Hendricks. Hendricks encourages his young grandson, Eric, to lay off the spirits and stay stronger than his "target". Eric flirts with Sara and they have a drink together after the party.

Later, Sara wakes up half naked and can't remember what happened the night before. She comes into the squad room and tells Benson she thinks she's been raped.

The investigation begins and the detectives quickly find Eric, who claims he had consensual sex with Sara. Sara had qualudes in her system, a powerful drug that neither she nor Eric has ever heard of. However, when the SVU team gets a search warrant, they find the drugs in Eric's room.

Sara says she remembers having sex with Eric but doesn't remember anything after that. Benson tells her that there were two semen samples in her rape kit. Sara wants them to find the other person, who she is sure raped her.

The second sample is related to the first so Lawrence and his son, Larry Jr, are both tested. Lawrence says he did have sex with Sara but that she wanted it.

Sara gets Lawrence to confess on tape, but his daughter, Cynthia, immediately moves to question his mental competence so that he can plead insanity.
