Law & Order: SVU Season 21 Episode 18 involves a pastor who is also a sexual predator.

Benson is at a gathering at Garland's home which includes his friend Reverend Del Chase when Rollins and Carisi show up and explain that Chase has been accused of sexually abusing young girls in his parish. Garland doesn't want to believe it but agrees to let the case move forward.

The cops investigate and find that Chase has paid tons of money to several families that include young girls. He claims it is church business, that the girls were in dire straits, etc. At first, Garland wants to believe him, but soon realizes that Chase is not telling the truth.

Under pressure, a girl named Renee shows the cops a video she made of Chase having sex with her when she was 15. Chase claims the girl is a troubled girl who is lying. Renee runs away from the church school after being called a liar and a slut, and is found upstate living with her boyfriend.

Chase's wife is angry that Garland won't put a stop to the investigation and threatens to ex-communicate him from the church. After Chase is arrested, he gives a sermon accusing Garland of being a Judas who is helping the white establishment destroy black lives. But Laura seems to be wavering in her faith, and soon comes to see Benson.
