Josie is at Mystic Falls High and Ethan speaks to her about losing his scholarships for college.

The Necromancer is in the school and kills the new principal. Josie tells the Salvatore School that all the monsters are coming back.

Alaric rounds up the group and tells Mac everything.

At the school, Landon goes ahead when Hope is locked out due to a dark object. Landon meets his father and punches his stomach.

Landon later attacks the Necromancer, but his father is controlling him. The Necromancer's dead dragon kills Landon.

Hope is livid, but Landon returns and they take down the Necromancer.

The pair escape the prison world through the pit and have sex, but Landon seemingly dies.

Meanwhile, Josie and Lizze make up with Alyssa after she reveals she will help them out.

They all survive the end, but Alaric is told that he should die by the Sphinx, raising questions about his future as the teacher.

Lizzie is sad that MG is getting close to Alyssa, but she lets it happen without causing problems for them.
