Hope is upset about the way all of the students are hitting out at her past, with books about her father coming to light in the library.
A new teacher appears and has the power to make people believe anything. He tells Landon to throw the school play about the founding families of Mystic Falls.
This does not go down well Hope, who says to keep her family away from his play.
Everyone wants to play Damon, but Kaleb gets the role, whole Josie gets Elena, Jed gets Stefan, and Lizzie gets Caroline.
Lizzie is worried about her future and a letter from her mother talks her down from her funk.
Josie gets close to Jade again and they kiss, but Jade says she's getting ready to leave town.
Alyssa seemingly helps MG, but it's later revealed that she's using him to get a vampire for the spell.
In the end, things took a turn for the worse when Alyssa and the Necromancer kidnapped him.
