Charlotte is ballet dancing when someone pulls her from behind by the neck.

Lucifer is still yelling angrily at Cain who reveals his plan worked. Chloe obviously loves him because that was the only way he believed the mark could be removed.

Chloe shows up to work in her shades and Ella jokes that she only does that when she's been crying. The Chloe admits Cain broke up with her. Ella doesn't keep her promise to keep quiet, but Cain has a much different reaction than she expected. He wants to win her back because he screwed up so bad.

Lucifer greets Chloe with words of understanding hoping at first to help her in her hour of need and then happy she doesn't want to talk about the scumbag. Up pulls Cain on his motorcycle throwing a wrench into the whole thing. Cain declares his love to Chloe right there on the sidewalk.

Wow. The ballerina wasn't Charlotte at all. It was some other ballerina chick. My eyes deceived me.

Chloe tells Lucifer to butt out of her life but gives Lucifer a paper cut. He's now set on tipping the scales in her favor not to love her, but to get everything back to the status quo.

When Cain calls off his plan with Maze, she has other plans. The only way for her to return to hell is to kill Pierce by mutilating Lucifer's feels. Her thinking is highly illogical.

Lucifer enlists Amenadiel's help in winning over Chloe.

Charlotte is in a 3-star hotel boozing it up when Amenadiel goes to her for help. He wants to prove he's the sinnerman. Now Amenadiel shares the story of Chloe's birth and potentially being restored in God's good graces.

Lucifer tries to balance the scales by buying a car for Chloe. She's utterly disappointed.

Maze goes to Chloe's to lie her way back into the house so she can hurt Chloe and Trixie.Chloe starts falling for it.

Lucifer takes things off of Chloe's plate again, but at least this time he's not reorganizing her folders.

Charlotte gets access to Cain working with a known fence and she and Amenadiel photograph them together. Cain ultimately catches her and wants to know why she's following him.

She gets out of it by coming on to him, but he says even if he would have been the luckiest guy in the world to get her, he's in love with Chloe.

Lucifer does the wrong thing again. Instead of telling her he loves, he just says what he does it better than anything Pierce can do. Chloe cries.

Dan calls her to a case and it is the realization to Lucifer that he screwed everything up.

At the same time, Cain as at his house waiting for Chloe, dinner getting cold. He takes the ring out of the envelope and goes to find Chloe just as Charlotte and Amenadiel get inside.

Linda goes to see Lucifer as a friend instead of a therapist. She wonders what it is that is keeping him from telling Chloe the truth. Lucifer claims he's not telling her because he thinks she doesn't have a choice in any of it. Linda says it's hogwash. Of course, he's going to get there too late.

Cain is at Lucifer's house proposing marriage. Lucifer watches her settle through the window.
