On Madam Secretary Season 2 Episode 17, Elizabeth was excited about going on a college tour with Alison. Unfortunately, Alison wasn't sure about having her mom come along because she wanted to have some anonymity while taking the tour. Stevie volunteers to go with Alison instead of Elizabeth, but Elizabeth refuses to miss out. Elizabeth invites Stevie along and to make a girls weekend out of the entire thing. 

While driving to the college Blake assures Elizabeth, Alison and Stevie things will be on the down low, but they're surprised to see a large welcoming committee when they arrive at the school. Elizabeth is forced to take a photo with the dean, but they are able to get some quiet time while taking a tour of the campus. Of course things take a turn when a group of college students who are protesting the situation going on in Chile ambushes Elizabeth and demands she give them answers. Elizabeth calming talks to the students, but her words get twisted and she's made to look like she doesn't care about what is going on in Chile. 

Later Elizabeth confronts the leader of the protests, Brian, and explains to him how important it is to be passionate about issues, but he needs to look at the entire picture. Brian takes Elizabeth's advice and thanks her for coming to him to have an honest discussion. 

in the end, Elizabeth, Stevie and Alison are able to have some fun and let go of the stress of the day.
