Major Crimes Season 5 Episode 9 involves a dead jogger found in the Greek Theatre prior to a performance. The victim, Bobby Cushing, is a divorce attorney married to a marriage counselor. The detectives quickly discover that Cushing was hiring prostitutes, making Provenza even more convinced that his wife is to blame for his death.

Tao goes undercover to catch the prostitute seen with Cushing on the night of his death, Bree Miller. Bree and her boyfriend Eric believe that sex has nothing to do with relationships and see nothing wrong with Bree's activities. However, Bree is very upset to hear of Bobby's death and claims his wife abused him. Cushing's wife, for her part, knew about the prostitutes and considers them an ultimate act of betrayal but does not want her teenage daughter to know about them.

While the team investigates this case, Julio is given temporary custody of a troubled eight-year-old who has been abandoned by his mother. Mark provides a serious challenge for Julio, as he hates Mexicans and thinks they are all illegal immigrants. And Buzz discovers more info about his father and uncle's murders, but Rusty may jump the gun in his excitement and mess up the case.
