Major Crimes Season 5 Episode 4 turns an innocuous, everyday activity into a murder investigation. When Flynn asks Buzz to film his tour of a house he wants to buy and move into with Sharon and Rusty, Buzz finds a body floating in the pool. It turns out to be Heather, the owner of the real estate company.

Heather used her body to sell houses more than she used the homes' actual value to prospective buyers. She also was lawsuit happy and had an eight-year-old son, Ethan, who appeared to be raised by her parents. Heather was blackmailing Dr. Yu, a marketer who was performing cosmetic surgery without a license and telling two different men they were the father so that she could collect double on child support.

There is no shortage of suspects as the MCU gets to work. Since Flynn wants the house, Provenza plays up the murder in the press to make the house sound cursed. Meanwhile, Rusty worries that his presence is an obstacle to Flynn and Sharon's relationship but talks to Buzz instead of anyone who can help.
