A flashback shows Jonah performing last rites to Leslie's father. It's revealed that Leslie's mother was banished from the Church of Gibborim and Leslie when she wanted nothing to do with the religion.

Intercut scenes of the present appear with the Runaways and the PRIDE parents battling Jonah.

Geoffrey tells Alex the truth of what's at the bottom of the hole, and what Jonah is planning to do. Karolina confirms the truth to the Runaways and that Jonah is her father.

Alex, Nico, and Molly want Karolina to stay behind during their battle with Jonah.

Jonah admits that he planned to kill Geoffrey to take his strength, but the kids saved him at the last minute. Jonah reassures them that his ship won't destroy the city. He refuses to answer Leslie's question about going alone.

Gert and Karolina convince the Runaways to save the alien beings from the bottom of the pit. They team up with Geoffrey to reach their same goal.

Chase from the future sends a message to Victor and Janet warning them about the upcoming disaster. Victor has a backup plan to stop Jonah if something doesn't work. Dale and Stacey arm their poisons.

Leslie and Frank arm the security guards from the Church of Gibborim for the special event. Leslie joins Jonah for his ascension.

Alex hacks into the Gibborim vans and sends them to a new location. The Runaways and Geoffrey break into the rock hole. Gert takes the roll of a lookout.

Leslie sends out the signal to the PRIDE members.

Destiny's brother holds Frank at gunpoint; he has evidence that the church was involved in the disappearance of teens. Frank bluffs to take the gun away, but a struggle ensues and the brother is shot.

Jonah arrives a the rock pit sooner with Leslie. Chase tries to cut through the alien liquid, but it keeps healing itself. Jonah contacts "Xavien" to initiate the spaceship launch.

Karolina uses her powers to carry Chase and Molly out of the hole. Nico uses the Staff of One to create a tornado to lift herself out.

Jonah wants Karolina to join him on the ship and go home. He lied about the earthquakes; the spaceship will destroy the state and kill everyone. Karolina rejects his offer.

The spaceship begins rising from the ground. Nico uses her wand, but the powers overwhelms her and she passes out. The Staff of One no longer answers to Tina.

The parents and the Runaways combine their powers to fight Jonah.

Stacey and Dale's chemical compound is successful. The spaceship and its inhabitants degrade and explode.

Nico dips the Staff of One in the solution and stabs it through Jonah as revenge for Amy's death. After his attack, Jonah loses his memory and his light flashes away.

Nico puts the parents to sleep. The Runaways leave the rock pit together.

The Runaways are unsure about what to do next. Karolina is mad at Nico for killing Jonah.
