Recap

The Santo Padre club members join EZ and Angel at the Stockton clubhouse. Bishop views the footage of Medina's murder that was captured on Hope's cell phone. Even though there was initial reluctance from Stockton's Vice President the club members all decide that it would be best for Santo Padre to handle the retaliation alone. Bishop advises Ramos and Dondo to keep their charter in public and draw attention to themselves to create an alibi.

Ramos has known Hope since she was a child. He tells Bishop that the only time she has ever been clean from drugs was when she was in Charming. He lets them know that she showed up to the Stockton clubhouse the morning following the shooting in search of protection. Bishop lets them know that retaliation needs to happen soon so that the cops will know that it is for murdering Medina.

Ramos lets everyone know that the cops saw EZ before they took off, so he will probably be on their radar. EZ says that he only saw their taillights as they were escaping. Hank says the cops will want to take care of anyone that may become a problem for them. EZ offers himself to be used as bait, but Bishop informs him that they need more, and glances at Hope. Coco tries to dissuade him by telling him that she is in bad shape. Bishop asks how long its been since she has used drugs and Ramos tells him three or four hours. Bishop concludes that soon enough she will do anything they need as long as they provide her with more drugs.

Miguel watches from inside as Emily stands next to the swimming pool, smoking a cigarette. Alvarez approaches Miguel and asks to be relieved for the night. The two men observe Emily closely, and Miguel notes how upset she is after discovering the competition for the Agra Park. Alvarez asks if there is anything he can do to help and Miguel replies "not yet." Emily notices Miguel watching her through the window and offers him a displeased glance.

At the brothel, Mini wakes to find Adelita gone. She hears a woman screaming from down the hall. Thinking Adelita is in trouble Mini goes to the room, but finds a man and woman engaged in a sexual act instead. The woman tells Mini to go, but the man sees her before she can retreat. He hurls a cruel insult at Mini calling her a "freak." Adelita arrives and orders the man to apologize to Mini. Back in their room, Mini observes her scars in the mirror. Adelita tries to console Mini, but Mini is still upset, so Adelita wraps her in a comforting embrace.

Back at the Stockton clubhouse, EZ notices Bishop sitting alone in deep thought. Ramos reveals that Bishop was Medina's sponsor. EZ tries to explain to Angel why he chose Bishop to sponsor him, but Angel brushes him off. They discuss how to move forward with Happy now that Medina was murdered.

Gilly, Coco, and Taza return with Hope after meeting with her dealer. Hope's dealer has agreed to pass a message to the cops that Hope will hand over her phone in exchange for drugs.

Emily returns from a run and is greeted by Miguel and Cristobal. Emily shares with Miguel the information she discovered about Eliana. Eliana is Emily's former nanny, but she states they were more like sisters; with Emily's parents even paying for Eliana to attend college. Emily does add that Eliana worked hard, so it was not a free ride. Emily reveals that Eliana lost everything to the wildfire, and since she had no insurance, she has been struggling to get back on her feet. Left with very few options, Eliana reached out to Emily's mother, Diana, for help. Emily notes that Eliana is a proud woman, so it must have been difficult for her to ask for help.

Miguel is shocked once he realizes Emily's intentions. He is in disbelief that Emily intends to use her friend's misfortune for her own benefit. An offended Emily tries to plead her case by saying that it would just be "two friends helping each other" but Miguel isn't buying it. Emily grows even angrier and reminds Miguel that his way of handling problems is much worse than a small bride. She lets him know that she isn't practicing his preferred method of retribution by chopping off someone's hands. Upon witnessing their argument, Dita attempts to intervene by removing Cristobal from Emily's arms, but Emily snaps at her. Emily jerks Cristobal away from Dita and tells her not to touch him. Dita retreats, and an exasperated Emily hands Cristobal off to Miguel before storming away.

Alvarez approaches Miguel to let him know that someone has arrived. Miguel steps outside to find Lincoln Potter along with several other agents waiting for him. Miguel tries to inform Potter that he is busy and won't be able to assist him, but Potter refuses to accept. As Miguel shares a goodbye with Emily, they apologize to each other for their earlier dispute. Before he leaves, Miguel orders Alvarez to check on their "queen" and to investigate Felipe.

At home, Felipe gently touches the vase containing Marisol's ashes when he receives a phone call from Dita. After their brief conversation ends, Felipe reads an old letter that Dita had written to him. The intense contents of the letter reveal that Felipe and Dita did, in fact, engage in an affair and that Dita was in love with Felipe. A somber Felipe looks at Marisol's vase and mutters an apology.

Back in Stockton Bishop informs EZ that it took Medina two years to become a patched member. Bishop reveals that he was the no vote because he was afraid Medina would end up getting killed. Bishop advises EZ to "stay close."

As Miguel and Potter are traveling, Miguel notices how well potter speaks Spanish and concludes that he didn't learn it in school. Potter tells a story about how he learned to speak Spanish so well, and Miguel discovers that he learned from a woman that he loved. Potter decides that he has said too much, and refuses to answer any more of Miguel's questions.

Alvarez arrives underground to check on Adelita and Mini. Upon learning that Mini is still upset because of her scars, Alvarez decides to speak with her. He shows Mini some of his scars, and shares that their scars do not make them weak. Alvarez lets Mini know that the scars are a physical reminder that they are survivors, and the reason people turn away from them is that they are intimidated. Mini hangs on his every word and gives him a big hug after he finishes his speech.

The M.C. waits at an abandoned warehouse for O'Grady to arrive. Coco approaches EZ and informs him that there is no coming back from what they are about to do. EZ assures him that he understands and he is okay with it. Bishop tries to talk to hope about their plan, but she panics. EZ approaches her, followed by the other club members, and is able to calm her down. They take turns revealing their names to her and reassure her that she is going to be okay.

O'Grady arrives at the warehouse to find Hope waiting for him outside. She quizzes him on the whereabouts of his partner, and he knows something is off. O'Grady grabs Hope and drags her into the warehouse at gunpoint. He enters to find the M.C. waiting for him. Bishop states that they don't care what happens to hope, and are only interested in his partner. Bishop informs O'Grady that Coco is an ex sniper and will shoot him. O'Grady releases Hope, and Bishop knocks him out with his gun.

Eliana leaves work to find Emily waiting for her. Although hesitant at first Eliana agrees to Emilys offer to give her a ride home. Emily apologizes to Eliana for being distant after marrying Miguel. Eliana assures her that she understands and doesn't hold a grudge against her. Emily informs Eliana that she knows that she has been borrowing money from her mother, and offers her an alternative. Eliana is suspicious after Emily hands her a check for fifty thousand dollars and wants to know what Emily expects in return. Emily explains that she thought they could help each other, but Eliana refuses. Feeling guilty, Emily, encourages Eliana to take the check with no strings attached, and Eliana accepts.

After switching to a more discrete mode of transportation, Potter and Gilendo arrive at an outdoor gathering in Mexico. Miguel soon discovers Potter's purpose for bringing him there. Potter is convinced that a prominent political figure named Paloma is working with Adelita, and he wants Miguel to tie her to the cartel.

O'Grady's partner receives a text ordering him to come outside. He finds Hope waiting for him instead. The M.C. breaks in the back door to find the partner's mom in the kitchen. O'Grady's partner hears a commotion and storms inside to find the club members holding his mom after she attacked them with a knife. Hope comes up behind him and smashes a large glass bowl over his head. His mom attacks Hope in a fit of rage over her broken dish resulting in Coco shooting her in the head.

At Felipe's butcher shop Alvarez arrives and offers him a thinly veiled warning about staying away from Dita.

Back at the abandoned warehouse, Bishop orders O'Grady to point his partner's death at someone else, and to leave the M.C. alone. O'Grady agrees and EZ frees him.

In her hotel room, Eliana studies the check she received from Emily. She calls Emily and agrees to help her in exchange for more money. Emily is ecstatic and calls Miguel to share the news. Miguel lets her know that he just made it back across the border, but doesn't divulge that he stopped to see Adelita first. Miguel informs Adelita of Potter's plans to tie Paloma to the cartel because of her connection to Los Olvidados.

O'Grady's partner wakes to find himself hanging upside down with his deceased mother on the ground below him. He looks up just in time to see the line of club members in front of him before they begin firing.

The following day the club members gather for Medina's funeral. EZ has a flashback to being lost at a festival when he was a child and calling out for Angel. SOA members Happy and Quinn arrive to pay their respects.

After getting the okay from Bishop to continue on their journey, Angel tells Bishop that he is pleased that he is EZ's sponsor and thanks him.

Eliana gives Emily a book concealing index cards with the information about the competing bids.

As Angel and EZ speed toward Charming, they pass the spot on the highway where John Teller was killed.

Happy arrives home to find his dog "Ope" barking. Upon entering Angel and EZ approach him from behind with their guns drawn.

Mayans M.C. Season 2 Episode 3 Quotes

EZ: You know why I asked Bishop to sponsor me?
Angel: I know. Fucking hurt.
EZ: I'm sorry.
Angel: Let's just focus on why we came up here in the first place.
EZ: What does that look like now?
Angel: Burying Medina day after tomorrow. SOA will represent. We'll know where they are, how long they'll be gone.

Coco: You holding up boy scout?
EZ: I'm okay.
Coco: Bishops got a lot on his mind you know? May not had relayed this, and I'm not sure how many fences you got mended with big brother. We're gonna kill a cop today. Besides all that memory shit that might trigger you, it's a line. You cross it; there ain't no walking it back.
EZ: I'm aware of that.
Coco: Awareness lives in the head man. You got to feel it here. You gotta know the weight. Cause if you got any doubt EZ about any of this...
Angel: Hey, what's up?
EZ: Just talking about the shit we gotta do. Trusting that whatever happens is supposed to happen. Stay in that truth; always takes us to the next right place.
Angel: What the hell you been teaching him, man?
