Erich is released on bail after being arrested.

He ignores his lawyers rules and runs off to party at Burning Man. Unfortunately for him, photos are taken of him at the event by the computer guy that Erich threatened before.

Erich’s lawyer requests to skip the preliminary hearing, which is accepted, but Erich is thrown in prison after the judge learns he left the area.

His lawyer chooses to resign from defending Erich.

The investigation into Hildy’s shooting gets underway. Initially, the mother and her son make up a different story about the shooting and sue the city. The boy is convinced by Terry to tell the truth, and ultimately Hildy is cleared to get back on duty.

At a dinner at Hildy’s, she and Terry kiss.
