Recap

Navy Officer First Class Adrian Vargas falls to his death. While Kensi is away on a mission, Deeks decides to turn their backyard into a zen garden. Sam and Callen pooh-pooh that idea. LSD is found in Vargas's system. Naval Intelligence Specialist Jason Renfro was arrested for dealing LSD on the USS Allegiance, where he worked with Vargas. Kilbride stresses how discereet this investigation has to be. Renfro says he was using microdoses of LSD to sharpen his focus. Renfro denies selling LSD to Vargas and claims he has no idea from where his LSD came. Vargas was researching places that treat PTSD and Deeks finds a business card for one such center in a book. Vargas's boyfriend says the Navy killed him because it wouldn't properly treat his PTSD. He added that Vargas wouldn't have done drugs. Renfro would receive messages telling him where to pick up the drugs. Callen admits to Sam that he's trying to track down Hetty. Roundtree tackles a fleeing Prophet Mahee Mahee, to whose spiritual center Vargas had donated $500. Dr. Evelyn Bernhard, Vargas's therapist, called his PTSD the worst she had ever seen. She had referred him to a clinic that utilizes LSD. Using an algorithm, Fatima pegs civilian contractor Randall Davis as the likely LSD supplier for Renfro. He also may be manufacturing the drugs. Davis fires at Sam and Callen and tries to drive off but Deeks and Roundtree cut him off. Surveillance reveals Vargas talked to Bernhard on the day of his death. She supplied him with LSD-laced gummies. Callen tells Sam he has decided to stop searching for Hetty. Fatima admits to Kilbride that she's having nightmares about returning to the field even though she's been cleared. Callen bumps into Leah, Hetty's connection, as an introduction and talks her into a meal.

Kilbride: I don't think anyone in this room understands the word "discreet." So let me make this clear: Don't blow anything up.
