Kensi and Deeks return to the field together. They are tasked with interrogating an undercover NCIS agent to find out whether he's lost his way or not. The agent turns the table on the partners by questioning their relationship.

Sam and Callen investigate the smugglers that the undercover agent had infiltrated to find out what's going on.

The agent betrays NCIS and helps the smugglers. Sam, Callen, Kensi and Deeks still successfully take them down.

Kensi and Deeks start to talk about their personal life. Kensi takes the box down and breaks the seal. Deeks opens it to find another sealed box inside.
