- Ben interrupts Max and Wilder when they're making out. It's a montage of everyone, incuding Karen walking in on or finding Max and Wilder as they make out everywhere like two teenagers.
- Gabrielle is still planning on leaving and tells Floyd that she listed him as a reference for a possible gig in Tanzania which has seemd to get his attention.
- Iggy calls Martin and pretends like they don't know each other at all as he's asking for their date.
- Lauren sold her apartment and she gets the EMTS to bring her and Casey to the possible apartment she plans to rent.
- Iggy manages to stop some cops from hauling in Carla, the unhoused woman, and they told her he has to admit her to the hospital if he's taking her, so he says he'll take her to court.
- Floyd's patient Milo comes in and needs some meds for post transplant patients. He bought a new lung off the black market.
- They get a call about a chainsaw attack while on the way to take Lauren to the apartment
- Max gives a speech about finding a cure for the cancer that he had, but Wilder tells him that the clinical trial from years ago that he took part in was a sham.
- The chainsaw incident wasn't what it seemed and Lauren stitches him up so she can get to the apartment.
- Iggy takes Carla to care court.
- Lilo's body is rejecting the lung that he paid for and he needs help.He went to Honduras for the lung and doesn't know any information about the donor or anything else.
- They get another call for a collision they have to respond to and Casey and Lauren are along for the ride.
- The demographic is all white not reflective of New Amsterdam's demo, and now they have to test it again.
- They can't release the trial for FDA approval.
- Carla hears that she'll have to give up her rights and has reservations.
- Gasoline is leaking fromt he car and a father and son have some serious damage. Casey warns her that Paul isn't going to make it.
- The Ithaca guy tells them that Helen was the one who set the parameters for the cancer trial so it's crazy that they're pulling the plug on things now.
- Lauren comes up with an on th efly retractor to keep Paul alive.
- Floyd intends to put the lung back into the originanl donor thanks to Gabrielle's idea.
- Max is outraged and shocked that Helen could've done this when she of all people would normally advocate better and Wilder has to spell it out to him that she did it to save Max's life.
- They both acknowledge that it's unethical and neither of them would do something like that for one another.
- Iggy wants to override everything to get Carla admitted, but Carla won't take the deal.
- Floyd talks to Diego, the young man who gave up his lung and promises a visa and to put the lung back in him.
- Wilder and Max propose a negotiation for Ithaca to expand the trial on their dime to include more diversity.
- Lauren finds a different place that she'd have to do from scratch. She wants to do it for herself.
- She wants to make every decision and do all the work because that's how she wants to live.
- Iggy and Martin agree to keep up the ruse of starting over after expressing fear.
- Max and Wilder talk. She thinks that her saying she wouldn't sacrifice the trial for him means they aren't right for each other and he says that it means they're perfect for one another.
