-Jess, eager to bury her sorrows after her break-up with Nick, organizes a dance at her school.

-She drafts several teachers against their will to be chaperones, including Coach.

-However, on the night of the dance, someone locks up the gym where the dance is supposed to be with a padlock.

-The other teachers, who are irritated by the prank, go home -- leaving Jess and Coach to chaperone the dance by themselves.

-Coach calls in Nick, Schmidt, and Winston to come and help chaperone the dance.

-Schmidt runs into trouble with a mean middle school boy.

-Nick gets in over his head trying to convince some troublemakers that he's cool.

-A dozen middle school girls become obsessed with Winston and follow his every move.

-Someone cuts the power at the dance.

-Jess thinks that the Biology teacher is the culprit.

-But the real culprit is Wendy, an awkward student who does not want to attend the dance because she is unpopular.

-Jess and Cece talk to Wendy about dating, and commit to helping her have more fun at the dance.

-The gang re-group, rap briefly, and restore order to the dance.
