- Birkhoff set Michael up with a robotic hand, but Michael is having trouble getting it to work as he wants. This setback has caused Michael to pull away further from Nikita.

- Ryan has a mission for Nikita and Owen to track down a rogue agent, Liam, that is heading to Mexico to do a cleaner job. Nikita agrees to have Michael accompany them on the mission, but it doesn't go as planned. After posing as DEA, Michael stays in the van to run communications. Liam hacks in to their lines and hears their plan to come in. He cuts the gas line, grabs the laptop and heads out. He is met by Nikita, but gets away. Owen and Nikita get safe from the explosion just in time. Michael attempts to intercept Liam, but his robotic hand doesn't cooperate and his left hand shot isn't accurate. He hit Liam, but wasn't able to stop his getaway.

- Michael lies about seeing Liam when he escaped, both Nikita and Owen doubt him. They don't push him on the matter. And, Michael goes to Birkhoff to find out if there is something better that he can use. It's unclear if they will be able to get something better or not. Michael heads to the firing range to practice. He goes off on Nikita. Owen calls Michael out for treating Nikita poorly.

- Ryan tracks down what happened to the laptop and sets a mission to retrieve it and intercept Liam. Nikita and Owen are going to get it and Michael volunteers to run the operation from the base. It goes well and Michael saved the day by maneuvering both Nikita and Owen to the right place. It's a success. Owen killed Liam. 

- Even though Michael led a successful mission, he is still not ready to go home with Nikita. He yells at her and she leaves upset. The emotions overtook Michael and his robotic hand forms a fist. Michael punches and destroys a metal wall.

- Alex is still sidelined due to her addiction. The doctor has ordered her to get her heart rate lowered. It's difficult for her and she realizes she must figure out what caused her to take the pills in the first place with Nikita's help.
