Monty lost his job and that's why he can't send her back to her fancy school. He can't afford it anymore.

Monse is pissed when she learns that Monty actually knew for months and that it interfered with her being able to find a scholarship or grant to help stay at her school.

LAPD calls Monse, it's how she finds out about Cuchillos. She and the others are at the police station, and they're scrambling to come up with a story for why they were in the forest. Cesar suggests searching for Big Foot.

Jamal is still mad at Monse and tells her it's about a butt dial. they all stick with the Big Foot story convinciingly.

Jamal expains why he's mad at MOnse, but she tells him she was talking about her chem teacher. He doesn't believe her. It causes some more rehashing of the past and Ruby and Jamal are back to being mad at Cesar about the Rollerworld money.

The cop that used to work with Cuchillos talks to Cesar and tries to warn him that the cops have identifed Cuchillos and that it spells trouble for him and the Santos since she was the only thing keeping the law off of them. Cesar is dismissive.

Hammel updates Oscar that Cesar isn't listening.

Isabele comforts OScar and tells him to trust that he raised a good kid. Oscar wants to leave now.

Jasmine and Jamal spend time decorating at her house while he tries to talk her into getting back together with Ruby.

Abuela spends some time with Ruby and tries to teach him things.

Cesar tells Joker about the news about Cuchillos, and Joker wants revenge and to take whoever is responsible out.

Jamal and Jasmine conclude that she can't get back with Ruby. Jamal knows that if he hadn't have canceled Monse he woudn't have been pushed out of his comfort zone and evolved. Jasmine and Ruby need the chance to do that too. They agree to be friends.

Monse's stepdad offers to pay to send her back to Mayfield.

Cesar sends a final message to the core four group chat that Cuchillos has been indentified.
