-As Snow White and Prince Charming marry, the Evil Queen puts a curse on everyone, banishing them all to the real world in Storybrooke, Maine, where none of them remember their fairy tale roots.

-Magic fairies help usher Snow White's baby to safety.  28 years later, she may be able to break the curse.

-That baby, is now Emma Swann, an orphaned bailbondswoman. Henry, the boy she gave up for adoption 10 years ago finds her and tells her the story of the residence of Storybrooke.

-Emma doesn't believe him and brings him home. His adoptive mother, Regina is the mayor of Storybrooke and is actually the Evil Queen.

-Henry's teacher, Mary Margaret gave him the fairy tale story book that told him the secrets of Storybrooke.  Mary is actually Snow White although she doesn't remember. 

-When Regina threatens Emma to stay away from Henry, Emma decides to stay in Storybrooke. She checks into a bed and breakfast owned by Mr. Gold who is really Rumpelstiltskin.

-As she takes her room, the clock in the town square that hasn't moved in 28 years suddenly comes to life.
