In the past, Ingrid tried to adopt Emma when she was in foster care until Emma thinks Ingrid's crazy because she think's Emma has magic. Emma runs off.  Later Ingrid finds her again in Storybrooke and steals Emma's memories until the time is right. 

The spell brings chaos to Storybrooke but Anna, Emma, Elsa, Hook (because he doesn't have his heart), and Mr. Gold are immune.

Emma and Elsa try to destroy the Snow Queen but can't hurt her because they all wear the ribbons. The ribbons won't come off because of love. Emma thinks they can be removed by hate so she released Regina from the vault. The Evil Queen unwittingly breaks the ribbons before heading off to kill Snow White.

Mr. Gold orders Hook to find Henry. He plans to take Henry and Belle to NYC after the stars align with the Sorcerer's hat. They won't remember a thing and he'll tell them that the Evil Queen destroyed Storybrooke and he saved them. 

The Evil Queen threatens to take baby Neal. She wants to watch Snow White bleed. Swords are drawn and the two do battle. 

Regina banishes Anna and Kristoff back to the beach where they washed up. Anna finds the bottle her mother threw in the sea. She runs to read it to Elsa, Emma, and Ingrid. The scroll inside is from Greta. She regrets putting Ingrid in the urn and stealing all of the memories of her sisters from Arendelle. She says she loved Ingrid and should have accepted her, not encouraged her to hide her powers. She wants Elsa and Anne to release her from the urn and return the memories.

All Ingrid wanted was the love of her sisters. She stops the spell of Shattered Sight but knows she must destroy herself to do it. She says that's OK because she will be with her sisters.

With the spell lifted, Mr. Gold tells Hook that he still plans to rid himself of the dagger and take Belle and Henry out of Storybrooke.
