Recap

The Bravermans are forced to deal with their wayward children on this episode.

Jabar is saddled with a case of stage fright and refuses to participate in the very elaborate school play that Joel and Crosby have worked so hard to produce.  After butting heads with Jasmine, Crosby decides to push Jabar to overcome his fear.   In the end, Jabar is a natural and everyone is happy, especially Crosby who was right... for once.

At Adam and Kristina's, Hattie's secret relationship with Alex is discovered causing mother and daughter to butt heads.  Adam and Kristina continue to ground Hattie, but to no avail.  She still manages to sneak off to see her boyfriend.  After several squabbles, Hattie decides she is not giving up Alex, and she leaves home.  Later, she shows up at Camille's with a suitcase in hand.

Sarah is once again reminded of her shortcomings as a mother, when Drew reveals he has forgotten to see his required amount of wrapping paper for the softball team fundraiser.  Sarah cannot afford to buy it from him.  After she and Drew attempt to sell the outdated paper around town, Zeek ends up saving the day and anonymously purchases the leftover wrap.

Parenthood Season 2 Episode 13 Quotes

Sarah [to Corey]: Do you like to wrap?
Corey: You mean like freestyle?

Zeek: Who wears the pants in the family?
Crosby: What year do you think this is? The fifties? There's no one wearing the pants, or not wearing the pants...it's a partnership.
Zeek: Oh my God, that sounds dreadful.
