Emily sees Noel listening to a tape of Alison and decides to do some sleuthing. After breaking into his car, she finds the tape recording and a bunch of photos of Alison when she was supposedly kidnapped. Spencer takes the photos to the lake house for safe-keeping, but Noel confronts her there and demands back the photos, his only insurance against Alison turning on him eventually. But he agrees to let Spencer hold onto them for everyone's sake.

Meanwhile, Hanna and Aria make up after Aria finally tells her mother about Zack; Ella and Zack end up breaking up. Emily finds out about Sydney and Jenna's friendship and feels betrayed by her former friend. And a mysterious guy shows up at the Rosewood Police station to "confess" to kidnapping Alison.
