Dr. McAndrew's returns to the hospital the next morning wearing what Brittany calls his "I had sex last night" tie. Unfortunately his one night stand turns complicated when she turns out to be Jordi's mother. The mother he told everyone was dead. On the upside, mom can sign off on his treatment since his grandmother believes he needs a faith healer and not a surgeon.

Meanwhile Kara is jonesing for a fix as she experiences withdrawal symptoms. She tries everything from bribing her dealer to trying to score pills for a six year old fellow patient but Nurse Jackson is determined to keep her clean until her next urine test.

Leo tells Jordi that he an Emma were an item and that it's not completely over as he then makes another play for Emma. He's shocked when Emma tells him she thinks he actually broke up with her because he didn't think she was good enough for him. She decides they were only meant to be friends. Leo agrees, even though that's obviously not what he wants, especially when he's faced with Emma and Jordi growing closer.
