Miles and Charlie try to make it to the Plains Nation to catch up to Rachel. After stopping for fuel the helicopter is damaged and two people end up dead. Miles tries to come to the conclusion that Jason is responsible, but later realizes it's his old friend Jim who has been brainwashed by the Monroe Republic. Jason shoots and kills Jim.

Aaron and Rachel finally make their way to the tower, but they find Miles and Flynn have already set up camp. Rachel, determined to get Aaron inside, steals a guard's uniform and walks into the Monroe's tent with an unpinned grenade.
