Sheriff Keller, Principal Featherhead, and Doctor Werthers interrogate Jughead and Ethel about the horror drawing. Sheriff Keller has Ethel and Jughead go to the police station.

Julian Blossom confronts Archie in the locker room. Archie says he didn't sleep with Cheryl. Archie takes Cheryl aside to ask why she lied about them having sex; she tells him that the lie is protecting her from her family. She asks him to keep the lie going.

Kevin gives the book back to Betty; he says that he wants to wait until marriage to have sex. Betty breaks up with Kevin. Toni comforts Betty about her decision; she tells Betty that it wasn't wrong for her to want what she wanted.

Veronica visits Jughead in jail. Jughead needs evidence that will prove he was at the dance during the time Ethel's parents were murdered. She agrees to speak with the coroner to start her investigation.

Mary is upset about the news that Archie and Cheryl had sex. Mary demands they go for dinner at the Blossoms to figure things out.

The dinner at the Blossoms is very awkward. Clifford Blossom challenges Archie to some questions, but it works and wins him over. Later, Archie and Cheryl kiss while reminiscing about his late father.

Toni takes Betty to the Dark Room where she sees Kevin slow-dancing with Clay.

Veronica gives Sheriff Keller the proof that Jughead was at the dance; the time of death for Ethel's parents proves he wasn't there.

Jughead tells Veronica that Ethel told him her alibi. Ethel was with Julian Blossom during that time; they were making out in his car before she left the car. Ethel won't reveal her alibi as it could destroy her reputation. Jughead and Veronica think that the only way to save Ethel is for Julian to tell the truth.

Alice confronts Betty about breaking up with Kevin; Betty tells Alice that Kevin's gay. Alice says that Kevin's going through a phase and will want to be with her again. She pushes Betty to help Kevin through his phase as a friend.

Jughead returns to the train car to find his dog missing.

Mary tells Archie that she and the Blossoms believe that they should get married since they had sex. Archie and Cheryl will have to take a test to prove that they're ready to get married.

Midge tells Fangs that she's late and thinks she's pregnant.

Jughead and Veronica confront Julian about Ethel's alibi. Julian refuses to admit to the alibi. After talking trash about Ethel, Jughead punches him in the face. Julian goes to Sheriff Keller and admits to the alibi; Ethel is freed as a suspect.

Doctor Werthers conducts the marriage test with Cheryl and Andrew. Penelope is given the go-ahead that the teens passed the test.

Fangs goes to Toni for help about Midge possibly being pregnant. The plan is to break into the biology class to conduct a pregnancy test.

Betty talks with Kevin about him dancing with Clay; he says that was the first time he was with Clay. Betty accepts his apology and comforts him.

Archie and Cheryl agree that they need to get to know each other more. Archie agrees to write a poem for Cheryl.

Veronica invites Jughead to stay over at the Pembrooke.

Toni conducts a pregnancy test involving a frog and potentially having the frog lay eggs. On the next morning, the frog laid a bunch of eggs. Toni tells Fangs that he needs to clean up and asks to get married to Midge.

Jughead made breakfast for Veronica. Jughead plans to save his dog from the pound and Veronica will spruce up his train car.

Archie comes clean to Betty that he never slept with Cheryl. He says he wants to save her, but Betty is hesitant and warns him that he needs love in his life.

Clifford plans Cheryl's and Archie's live post-marriage. The future looks bleak.

Midge's parents forbid Fangs from ever seeing Midge ever again. Toni's plan is to turn Fangs into a rich celebrity within the next four months so that he can successfully win Midge's parents over.

Veronica redecorated Jughead's train car into a swanky place. Veronica offers them a room at the Pembrooke, but he politely turns it down.

Alice finds the Human Sexuality book in Betty's room. Ethel comes clean that the book was hers and hidden in her room. Betty refuses to give up the book.

Archie stares at a postcard from Niagara Falls, which is the dream location for the wedding. Archie talks with Cheryl about it being a bad idea for them to get married and follow Clifford's plan; his solution is for them to elope and go out west together. Cheryl agrees to the plan.

Betty tells Kevin he is brave for being who he is. Kevin admits that the pin he gave Betty came from Alice. He also reveals that Alice reached out to him about his dating troubles with Betty.

Toni cautions Cheryl about leaving town and running away with Archie. Toni comforts Cheryl and tells her that she can't hide from her problems.

Alice reveals she called child services and sent Ethel to be with the Sisters of Quiet Mercy. Betty confronts Alice about her giving the pin to Kevin. Alice burnt the human sexuality book.

Archie waits at the bus stop for Cheryl. Cheryl tells him that they can't run away together; she's not the girl for him. Cheryl tells Archie that he should write a sweet poem for Betty.

Cheryl tells Toni that she decided not to leave. Toni gives Cheryl a romance novel and says to see if it sparks anything within her.

Archie starts writing a poem for Betty. Before he can give the poem, his uncle Frank arrives in town to knock some heads and whip Archie into shape.

Jughead and Veronica kiss.
