On Scorpion Season 3 Episode 12, Team Scorpion goes to run a diagnostic on a water pipeline in the desert. An turbine is running too hot, making it speed up until it explodes. Cabe is standing near the turbine when it explodes, and a piece of shrapnel embeds itself in Cabe's abdomen. He's losing blood fast.

It would take too long to get Cabe to an ER, so Team Scorpion has to stabilize Cabe and seal the tear in his abdomen in the desert. Yeah, that's not an issue at all. The plan is to make a Cabe-cicle. This will lower his heart rate, making him bleed out a lot more slowly.

Toby has to perform surgery on Cabe. Happy sticks around to help him while Sly captures a rattlesnake. The rattlesnake venom will thin Cabe's heart, so he doesn't die from a blood clot. Paige and Walter have to infiltrate a nudist colony to get hydrogen sulfide gas, which is not awkward at all.

Everything works as planned. The only issue is Cabe's heart is not restarting. Don't worry, Team Scorpion manages to get his heart back up and running by shocking his heart. It was close for most of it, but Cabe made it through thanks to his family.
