An Amber Alert warns Ichabod and Abbie that Sara Lancaster-Weiss has gone missing. We soon learn the woman was Abbie and Jenny's case worker and a close family friend. Abbie assures Beth she will find her little girl.While walking through the woods they discover a flute made of bone. Abbie slips into a trance when Icabod plays it. He realizes they're dealing with a Pied Piper. The duo sets out to find the Pied Piper but run into Nick Hawley instead. Hawley was in search of the bone flute when he was attacked by the Piper. He talks of the Lancaster curse that dates back to 1778. Daniel Lancaster hired a mercenary and later betrayed him. Since that time, Lancaster girls have been lured into the woods and never heard from again. Abbie believes there's still time to save Sara. Hawley agrees to help bring Sara back safe in return for the bone flute. Once they arrive at the Piper's lair, they locate Sara in no time but the Piper attacks them. Hawley uses some explosive to collapse the monster's home. Hawley is ready to leave but not without the bone flute. Abbie hands it over, but not before damaging it a bit. Sara's brothers have become mysertiously ill. Abbie and Ichabod search for Beth who has deceided to sacrifice one child for the others to live. Abbie talks the woman out of making a terrible mistake but the Pied Piper arrives to claim his prize. Out heroes eventually finish the creature off. Irving attempts to fire Parish as his lawyer but the Horseman of War reminds him he signed a contract in his own blood. Elsewhere, Hawley meets with a Hessian and hands over the damaged bone flute. Unknown to Hawley, Henry Parish is the buyer and he grinds the bone to dust.
