Boimler is welcomed back but the ship, due to heightened security protocols does not recognize him and he can't get food replicated.

Tendi is in a rush to get to work because Ensign Escher was promoted ahead of her.

Shaxs is at the replicator, ordering food, and Rutherford is shocked as Shaxs died saving his life.

T'Ana orders Tendi to pick up a family heirloom from Qualor II for her.

Boimler is not registering with the doors on the ship either. However, he is excited to meet Tom Paris who is visiting the ship. He has a commemorative plate he wants to get signed.

Rutherford is still bothered by Shaxs' return.

Tendi asks Mariner to go with her on T'Ana's mission.

Boimler can't get the lifts to work either so he opts to climb the Jefferies tube to the bridge instead of accepting Jet's help.

Mariner and Tendi arrive on Qualor II. They learn things about each other while waiting for the heirloom to be retrieved. The heirloom box is big and heavy. Mariner insists on opening it up and seeing what it is. Tendi identifies is as a Caitian libido post.

As they try to put it back in the crate, they drop it and the head breaks off. Mariner says she knows someone on Starbase Earhart who can fix it.

Rutherford is working up his courage to ask Shaxs about his resurrection when a junior lieutenant asks first and is immediately reassigned as punishment for upsetting Shaxs.

At Starbase Earhart, Mariner gambles to raise the money they need to repair the post. The Nausicaans they con are upset when Mariner and Tendi win and destroy the post's head even more.

Boimler continues his internal journey to the bridge.

Tendi remembers her cousin might be able to help them out. She disguises Mariner by turning her skin green.

Rutherford has a hallucination about Shaxs, driving him to find out the truth.

Mariner and Tendi find Tendi's cousin. Tendi behaves in a dominant manner to get him to repair the post. He refers to her as Mistress of the Winter Constellations.

Mariner's coloring wears off and the Orions mass to attack them. They grab the post and attempt to evade them.

Boimler finds himself trapped in the Jefferies tubes. The Tom Paris on his plate starts to encourage him to open a panel and figure out a way out.

Tendi and Mariner attempt to escape by climbing the outside of the lifts but they are spotted. In order to save Mariner, Tendi drops a part of the post. They escape in their shuttle.

Rutherford confronts Shaxs in a lift about his return. Shaxs warns him the knowledge will warp him forever and Rutherford eagerly agrees.

Boimler snaps and shoves the plate into the panel which causes a hatch to open and drop him onto the bridge. Tom Paris attacks him.

Tendi and Mariner head back to the Cerritos and bond a bit on the way. Tendi plans on telling T'Ana she broke the post by accident but Mariner decides to ram the shuttle into the ship's shields in order to give Tendi a plausible reason for the damage.

Tom Paris is still beating up Boimler.

Tendi apologizes to T'Ana for the damage to her heirloom but T'Ana isn't angry because she only wanted the box. She carries it back to the office and jumps into it.

Tendi brings her Klingon acid punk album collection down to visit Mariner in the brig. Boimler arrives, authorized and recognized by the computer and sporting a black eye. He heads off to have drinks with Paris.

Rutherford flinches when Tendi asks about Shaxs.
