Harvey asked Mike to work on a new case for the firm, but Mike was stopped by a man whose son was killed in prison. Mike then asked Harvey if he could swap to a pro bono one. 

Mike then found out that there was not enough staff in the prison the night of death, but Alex told Harvey the case was a conflict of interest and they would have to drop it. 

Mike was annoyed, but turned to Oliver to take it on. They bickered and Oliver decided to go ahead with it. 

Louis grew jealous of Alex being at the firm, and decided to find a way to get rid of him, but his therapist had other ideas and Louis then tried to befriend him. 

Rachel had a tough time with Stephanie when she realized she was going behind her back. She asked Donna for advice, but then Donna undermined her in front of everyone. 

Rachel gave up the associates and Donna fired Stephanie. 

Mike tried to extend the olive branch to Alex and they eventually made things right with one another.
