When you watch Supernatural Season 14 Episode 3 online you'll see how deep things go when it comes to going after Michael. Sam isn't totally convinced Dean is OK but he's even less convinced when Dean realizes he has a large scar on his arm from when he was Michael. The guys consult with Jodi Mills on the matter and when they describe the scar she immediately knows what they are talking about as she has three bodies which washed up with the same exact scar. The guys head over to Jodi's to get help on tracking down the person who could ultimately help them in their quest to take down Michael. When they encounter the person with the spear they are surprised to learn it is other world Kaia. Kaia explains Michael tried to recruit her on his team but she knew he wasn't good and instead attacked him. This made Michael realize Kaia had a weapon would could ultimately take him down and he has been sending all of his monsters to track Kaia down every since to get the weapon from her.
