When radio silence is reported at a nearby outpost, the Commander and Elisabeth set out to see what the problem is.  Once there, they find out there is a virus infecting the people at the outpost that causes memory loss and eventually turns them catatonic.

After not hearing from his wife, Jim heads out to the outpost.  Once there, he finds Elisabeth and the Commander have begun to succumb to the virus.  Although there for a while, Jim never contracts the pathogen, and since he had a cold the entire time, Elisabeth realizes that the cold is the cure.

Meanwhile Josh continues to hit it off with Skye, who tries to make a move, but backs off when Josh mentions his girlfriend again.  In an attempt to play nice, Skye offers to help bring her to Terra Nova by enlisting a friend of hers to help.
