Leonard goes to the doctor and finds out he has a deviated septum which can be fixed with surgery. Sheldon freaks out when he hears about it. He's used to falling asleep to the sound of Leonard snoring and fears he won't be able to sleep after the surgery. In his mind, either Leonard's breathing troubles will be fixed or he will be dead. Either way, Sheldon would be left without the calming sound of Leonard's snores each night.
Raj's parents are celebrating their anniversary and Raj has difficulty deciding what to give them. It ends up not mattering. In the end, it doesn't matter because they split up. Raj is upset about the situation, so Howard and Bernadette help distract him. 
Later, Bernadette worries that she'll have the same problem with Howard. She decides they should discuss what annoyances they have with each other. Howard wants to focus on the good things, but it ends up being turned around. They use compliments to express their complaints. Raj shows up and lightens the mood again.
Leonards moves up his surgery when an appointment becomes available in order to relieve the stress on Sheldon. The play backfires when Amy reveals the truth. Sheldon goes to see Leonard. When a small earthquake hits and the lights flicker, Sheldon decides to go back to the surgery to see Leonard. He ends up running into the glass.
